パリ、シャンゼリゼは数多い観光スポットの中でも明るく和やかにさせるシンボルのような場所です。

シャンゼリゼの名前の由来はギリシャ神話の「エリュシオンの野」から来ており、「エリート」の語源であるとか。そんな賑わいを描いてみました。

The name Champs Elysées comes from the Greek myth of the Fields of Elysium, which is said to be the origin of the word ``elite.'' I tried to depict such a lively scene.

145) スニオン岬、ギリシャ / Cape Sunion,Greece

スニオン岬物語。　　ギリシャ時代に王が王子に、戦いに送り出す時に

「戦いに勝ったら白い帆を上げて帰って来い」と言ったのに、王子は戦いに勝ったのだが嬉しさで白ではなくて黒い帆のままで帰って来てしまった。岬の上からそれをみた王は王子を失ったと思い、悲しみのあまり海に身を投げた、と言う話を読んだ。　　　そんな話を裏付けるようにドーリア式の石柱が崩れ重なっている。

At Cape Sounion, in the Greek era, when a king would send a prince off to battle.

He said, ``If he wins the battle, he should come home with white sails.'' However, the prince won the battle, but he was so happy that he came home with black sails instead of white. . When the king saw it from the top of the cape, he thought he had lost his prince and was filled with sadness.

I read that he threw himself into the sea. Doric stone pillars are collapsing one on top of the other, supporting this story.

江ノ島を境に右が片瀬西浜海岸。夏シーズンにはこの突堤の先の方で花火が打ち上げられます。

このクレタ島を訪れたとき、夜空にあまりにも星が多いいことに驚きました。如何にしてオリオンやペルセウスなどの　　神話が生まれたのか理解できたと同時に、星座の話をもっと勉強しておいたら見る目も変わったであろうと後悔しました。

このクレタの絵は、そんな天の川伝説を表現したいと思い、西洋画の油絵に日本画の金属箔押し技術を合わせて新しい表現をトライしました。実際にこの絵では銀箔応用技術の「砂子」という手法を使って満天の星を表現しています。

2023年4月18日から開催の東京都美術館・「第72回流形展」にて「優公賞」を受賞しました。

　　　　　　　　　2024年3月、駐日ギリシャ大使館に寄贈。応接空間に飾られました。

When I visited this island of Crete, I was surprised that there were so many stars in the night sky. At the same time as I was able to understand how myths such as Orion and Perseus were born, I regretted that if I had studied more about the constellations, my perspective would have changed.

For this Cretan painting, I wanted to express the legend of the Milky Way, so I tried a new expression by combining Western oil paintings with Japanese metal foil stamping techniques. In fact, in this painting, a technique called "Suna-go", which is a silver foil application technique, is used to express the stars in the sky.

"Nybrokajen" in Stockholm, Sweden, is busy as a departure port for sightseeing boats, but in the past it was also a port for fishing boats to enter and exit. Two similar buildings in the back are Hotel Diplomat and 5star Hotel on the right. On the left is Hotel Esplanade, 4star Hotel. It hasn't changed in the past and now.
